By connecting economically challenged individuals with the funding necessary to sterilize companion, barn, stray, feral, and ‘alley’ cats, we will work toward reducing the number of healthy cats and kittens that are put to death each year. Collaborating with existing small animal rescue groups will allow us to leverage existing networks of people to have the greatest impact and efficient use of resources. However, instead of focusing on the symptoms of the overpopulation problem, CatSNIP’s focus is on preventing it.CatSNIP intends to approach this issue as a business would:by getting to the heart of the matter and eliminating the source of the problem.By spaying and neutering as many felines as funding will allow, there will be significantly fewer cats surrendered to shelters or abandoned outdoors.
